I want the risk to be mine, not my client's, so I can transfer and execute that value to clients at the lowest possible marketing cost. This is something that is not the case in today's typical marketing agency business model.

Harmonic Shore was created as a window of opportunity for those who have not received a clear path from their current or former marketing providers. Think of Olivia hitting the beach after a violent shipwreck in Twelfth Night, or Tom (the narrator) in The Glass Menagerie, seeking to describe the indescribable. Harmonic Shore is a vision of clarity amid confusion and chaos, like the outline of a beautiful, serene island seen from a ship rolling about in a turbulent sea, or the snows of Kilimanjaro seen through fog and clouds. We know it's there, but how do we get there. The journey is exhausting, we know that. It is full of unknown unknowns. When will things settle down? Who can I trust after having my money taken, with no return? Who, in this confusing list of 'marketing services' providers, can we count on to guide us and, at the very least, provide us with some sense of clarity?

Although no one can ever quite answer those questions (not even us), we can work together using our hardened experience, well known facilitation tools and project management to get you there more quickly, and in a manner which, hopefully, is less painful.

Our Foundation: Over 17 Years of Proven Insight

Over a 17-year period, I was a business growth consultant -- in varying degrees of scope -- for over 50 small industrial companies. At kickoff in 100% of those engagements, owners confided that their methods and processes for managing growth and acquiring customers were mostly unknown and uncertain. Next, they would state that they once had some type of marketing management (inside or outside) but got discouraged because they could not (to this day) quantify the return, nor describe what those resources delivered. Some of my engagements were clean up jobs that required my stepping back the executive teams to a mode of fact-finding, research, process management, and quantification of the company's strategic goals.

The world of strategy is no different than the world of literature and storytelling. In each story, from the Holy Bible to A Good Man is Hard to Find, people are on a journey for certainty, existing co-existing in small groups of differing personalities and motives, just trying to get along toward some common end. Even for Aeneas, after his decent into the underworld, there was a vision brought by the Sybil of Cumae that gave him hope. The journey, she said, would be slow, difficult, deliberate, strategic. 'To retrace your steps to the upper airs,' she said: Hic opus est; hic labor est ('this is the greatest task, this the greatest labor').
